General Procedures

GENERAL RULES

ONLY 1 CAR PER DRIVER. DRIVER MAY DRIVE ANOTHER CAR AS LONG AS IT WAS REGISTERED FOR THAT EVENT.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR POINT FUND, DRIVER MUST BE PRESENT AND PARTICIPATE IN AT LEAST 80% OF THE SCHEDULED RACES.

TIRE RULES;  HOOSIER LM 30S is mandatory on the RR. No Grooving or siping of any tire. 

YELLOW TRANSPONDERS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL EVENTS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR RENT.

 

RACE FORMAT

A REPRESENTATIVE FROM EACH TEAM MUST DRAW AT THE AELMT REGISTRATION AREA UPON ARRIVAL TO RACE TRACK.

DRIVERS ARRIVING AFTER PILL DRAW IS COMPLETE, WILL BE PLACED LAST IN THE QUALIFYING GROUP WITH THE LEAST AMOUNT OF CARS. IF A DRIVER MISSES QUALIFYING GROUP, THAT DRIVER WILL START AT THE TAIL OF ASSIGNED HEAT RACE.

TWO CARS WILL QUALIFY AT A TIME. QUALIFIERS WILL HAVE (1) ATTEMPT AT TWO CONSECUTIVE LAPS, NO WAIVE-OFFS. QUALIFIER WILL BE CONSIDERED TO HAVE MADE QUALIFYING ATTEMPT ONCE QUALIFIER HAS TAKEN THE GREEN FLAG. TRANSPONDERS WILL BE THE PRIMARY METHOD OF SCORING. IF TRANSPONDER FAILS, QUALIFIER WILL RECEIVE THE HAND-SCORED TIME.

HEAT 1 STARTING LINE-UP WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE RESULTS OF QUALIFYING GROUP 1, HEAT 2 WILL BE DETERMINED BY GROUP 2 AND SO ON. THE NUMBER OF HEAT RACES WILL DETERMINE THE INVERT FOR HEAT RACE STARTING POSITIONS. HEAT RACES WILL BE 10 LAPS WITH A MAXIMUM OF 12 CARS.

THE MAXIMUM A-MAIN DISTANCE IS 40 LAPS.

ALL NON-TRANSFER CARS WILL RECEIVE MINIMUM $100.00 TOW MONEY.

 

 

 

 

20 Car Format

  • Three qualifying groups; 1, 2 and 3. The qualifying results of Group 1 will determine the line-up of Heat 1, the results of Group 2 will determine the line-up of Heat 2 and Group 3 will determine the line-up of Heat 3. The Heat Race invert will be determined by the number of Heat Races.

  • Three heat races, 8 Laps

  • Top three finishers from each heat race will be combined in a random draw for starting position 1 - 9 in the A-Main.

 

30 Car Format

  • Three qualifying groups; 1, 2 and 3. The qualifying results of Group 1 will determine the line-up of Heat 1, the results of Group 2 will determine the line-up of Heat 2 and Group 3 will determine the line-up of Heat 3. The Heat Race invert will be determined by the number of Heat Races.

  • Three heat races (12 cars max.) with the top five cars transferring to A-Main. 10 Laps

  • Top three finishers from each heat race will be combined in a random draw for starting position 1 - 9 in the A-Main.

  • There will be one Last Chance Race with the top five transferring to A-Main. A-Main starting positions 16 through 20 will be determined by finishing positions one through five of the Last Chance Race. Last Chances Races will be 12 laps.

  • A-Main starting position 21 will be a points provisional, awarded to the driver highest in AELMT points not yet in the show.

 

 

40 Car Format

  • Four qualifying Groups; 1,2,3 and 4. The qualifying results of Group 1 will determine the line-up of Heat Race 1. The qualifying results of Group 2 will determine the line-up of Heat Race 2 and so on. The Heat Race invert will be determined by the number of Heat Races.

  • Four heat races (12 cars max.) with the top four cars transferring to A-Main. 10 Laps

  • Top two finishers from each heat race will be combined in a random draw for starting position 1 - 8 in the A-Main.

  • There will be two Last Chance Races with the top two from each race transferring to A-Main. A-Main starting positions 17 through 20 will be determined by finishing positions one and two of the Last Chance Races. Last Chances Races will be 12 laps.

  • A-Main starting position 21 will be a points provisional, awarded to the driver highest in AELMT points not yet in the show.

 

 

50 Car Format

  • Five qualifying groups; 1,2,3,4 and 5. The qualifying results of Group A will determine the line-up of Heat 1, the results of Group 2 will determine the line-up of Heat 2 and so on. The Heat Race invert will be determined by the number of Heat Races.

  • Five heat races (12 cars max.) with the top three cars transferring to A-Main. 10 Laps

  • Top two finishers from each heat race will be combined in a random draw for starting position 1 - 10 in the A-Main.

  • There will be three Last Chance Races with the top two transferring to A-Main. A-Main starting positions 16 through 21 will be determined by finishing positions one through four of the Last Chance Races. Last Chances Races will be 12 laps.
