As the beginning of the 2016 racing season grows closer, the American Ethanol Late Model Tour is pleased to announce Randy Ellen as the official tour photographer. Randy Ellen Photography is ready to capture the cars and stars of the opening events on May 27th at Winston Speedway.
Ellen, a lifelong race fan, got his start in the business as a car owner first in the now defunct ASA National Tour, and then locally at the Berlin Raceway. After working in live video filming, he got his start in motorsports photography in 2008, once again, at Berlin. He expanded his horizons first to the I-96 Speedway and then expanding out to freelance work with many periodicals like the Midwest Racing Scene and Circle Track Magazine. Ellen is also the proprietor of Ultimate Exposure Graphics and Apparel providing signage, graphics and merchandise for several local tracks.
“We are excited to announce Randy as our photographer for the 2016 race season,” stated tour Director Nick Rice. “[He has a] great eye and skill behind the camera. It helps that he has been around the industry for a very long time, he just knows what to look for and shoot. He will prove to be a great addition to the tour.”
Ellen also expressed his excitement at the upcoming season: “Nick Rice and American Ethanol / Yellow Hose have a very positive approach to everything and are very well organized. I see this transfer to their dirt late model division, definitely leading us all into the new direction of renewable energy. They are a perfect fit for motorsports.”
The American Ethanol Late Model Tour kicks off the 2016 season on Friday, May 27th at the Winston Speedway in Rothbury, Michigan. This is race number one of twelve for the American Ethanol Late Model Tour $10,000 Championship.
