American Ethanol Details Announced for Berlin Goes Dirt Events

August 29, 2018

Lake Odessa, MI (Wednesday, August 29, 2018) - A marque end of the year trio of events for Michigan Motorsports is just around the corner when Marne, Michigan's Berlin Raceway, a premier venue for pavement racing, makes the transition to one of the biggest and fastest dirt tracks in the region.  For the second year, the American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) and the American Ethanol Modified Tour Presented by Allstar Performance (AEMODT) will close out their seasons with three races over the final three weeks of September, crowning champions on Saturday, September 29th.

All the action begins on Saturday, September 15th when Berlin Goes Dirt, featuring the AELMT, AEMODT and Street Stocks. For the American Ethanol Tours, they'll do battle for their normal laps and pay out; with the AELMT racing for $4,000 in a 40-lap main event paying $500 to start, while the AEMODT races for $1,500 in their 30-lap event that pays $200 to start.

On Saturday, September 22nd, competitors will return to Marne for the second night of dirt track racing at Berlin but this time, the stakes are higher.  The AELMT will see a $5,000 prize at the end of their 40-lap main event, while the AEMODT will race for a $2,000 payday.  Start money will stay the same for both Tours.  On the 22nd, the Tours will be joined by the Compact division, for an invite style race.

The 2018 season goes out with a bang for the American Ethanol Tours during The Championships. Saturday, September 29th is a can't miss triple-header of racing action.  The AELMT will close out their season with a 50-lap main event, paying out an impressive $6,000 to the winner and $3,000 to second place.  As for the UMP DirtCar AEMODT, they will race for 40 laps, battling for a $2,500 payday, with second place taking home $1,250 and third place collecting $900. Start money has been raised to $250 for the AEMODT. Again this year, the American Ethanol Tours will be joined by one of the region's premier Sprint Car series, the Engine Pro Sprints on Dirt Presented by ARP.  Some of the best dirt sprint cars will do battle for $4,000 to win and $350 to start during the COMP Cams End of the Year Shootout.

Last year, for Berlin Goes Dirt, near record crowds filled the stands and officials expect the same this year.  Adult tickets are just $12 on September 15th and September 22nd. Tickets for the September 29th mega event could be considered one of the best deals in auto racing as adult tickets are only $15.  For more information and to purchase your tickets today, log on to
