Lake Odessa, MI (Thursday, June 20, 2019) - The American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) is ready to head to Muskegon, Michigan for the one and only time in 2019. Thunderbird Raceway will play host to the Tour on Saturday, June 22 for the postponed Allstar Performance 40, and Tour regulars will be looking to shut down two drivers, who are looking for a boost to their 2019 season.
Every AELMT event from Thunderbird has been won by either Eric Spangler or Rich Bell, dating back to July of 2016. Bell picked up the first ever AELMT win from Thunderbird, an event in which Spangler set fast time. Spangler has proved to be untouchable at Thunderbird, winning the last two Allstar Performance 40 events, and setting fast time in 2017. They’ll have to deal with other drivers looking for success, including points leader Brandon Thirlby who is coming off two straight podium finishes without a win, Travis Stemler who looks to become the season’s first repeat winner, and a host of local drivers looking to steal the show.
Pit gates at Thunderbird Raceway open at 3:00 p.m., Grandstands at 4:30 p.m., and the American Ethanol Green Flag waves at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are just $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, kids 5 to 11 $5, and kids 5 under free. Take in the action first had with pit passes at $30
